John 3:16 - Gift of Christ Craft

This craft can be adapted for many lessons. We used it while discussing the disciple John and sharing God's gift of love.

Have the kids decorate and color the pattern. Remind them that the backside of the pattern will also show, so they should also decorate it. After decorating the pattern have them cut out the cross on the solid lines. Have the kids fold the pattern on the dotted lines to create a box. Younger children may need help with this. There many different ways to keep your box together. You can tie ribbon around it to keep the sides together or use painter's tape and tape the sides together (I did the latter). Once the box is assembled, give each child a bow to stick on top of their box.

Now each child can give their present to someone to tell them the gift of God's love.
Materials Needed: Pattern (one per child), crayons, scissors, bows, ribbon or painters tape.
